We want to ensure youth leadership is prepared to love and shepherd the faith of the next generation of Christ followers.

Support EFCA student ministries.

Provide opportunities for EFCA student leaders to offer a Scripture-based, gospel-centered foundation to students.

The Problem

Perhaps more than any other age group in history, this generation of young people has felt the constant barrage of voices vying for their attention and devotion—sports, video games, pornography, drugs, alcohol, etc. The impact of these false sources of satisfaction has only been exacerbated by social media, online comparison and public shaming.

Now more than ever, parents are searching for wisdom to discuss complicated topics like school shootings, suicide, racial tensions, same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria.

The Solution

We invest in our youth and youth leadership.

We believe pouring into students and student leaders will have far-reaching effects on future generations. Student leaders partner with parents to lead their students in God’s wisdom and truth to navigate the tumultuous days of adolescence in the post-Christian landscape.

The Plan

The ability to cultivate, curate and distribute resources is a paramount priority of the EFCA. Time and energy for most student leadership teams does not allow for the ability to research and provide best of thinking. We desire to provide resources specifically applicable to these leaders. Examples include:

  • Resources for students constantly facing external and technological pressures which lead to frequent battles with anxiety
  • Resources for students living in a culture which constantly proclaims truth is not absolute but relative
  • Resources for students operating from a mental and heart state of self-centeredness as they follow the culture

In addition to resources and training, we are equally committed to provide pastoral care to our student ministry leaders. One of the areas we’ve dedicated to this goal is a four-day retreat designed specifically for student workers and their spouses called Renewal. This strategic investment in leaders allows them to connect with God, their calling and their peers. The worship gatherings and life-giving sessions are designed to facilitate long-term, healthy student ministries.

The Investment Opportunity

Your investment in student ministries will provide opportunities for EFCA student leaders to offer a Scripture-based, gospel-centered foundation to students in these uniquely formational years of their lives.
